Harrison AI

Since 5 February 2026, UHL has deployed  Harrison.ai CXR, an AI program for CXR interpretation, for all clinicians.

When reviewing an adult (16+) chest X-ray (CXR) on PACS, you may notice additional images and reports that have been generated and interpreted by the AI system.

Harrison.ai is not intended to provide a definitive diagnosis and must not replace clinical judgement. It should be used as an adjunct to support clinical decision-making.

The Harrison.ai CXR system is capable of detecting up to 124 potential findings on chest X-rays.

To ensure safe and confident use of the software, it is strongly recommended that the HELM e-learning module is completed. This can be accessed on HELM:

Please remember that ultimate responsibility for the initial interpretation of images remains with the clinical team. If you are unsure about any findings, seek advice from a senior clinician.

A full radiology report will continue to be issued within the usual turnaround times.
